The Innovations in Assessment Award recognizes a person or team for the development and application of an innovative personnel assessment tool or procedure which resulted in improved effectiveness, efficiencies, or cost savings. Individuals or teams in the personnel assessment field who have developed and applied an innovative personnel assessment tool or procedure — within both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations — in recent years are eligible for nomination. Additionally, self-nominations are allowed.

The winner receives an engraved plaque to commemorate the accomplishment, the opportunity to present a paper about the innovation at the Conference, and a waiver of the conference registration fees for one person.
