Arriving By Air: The Charleston International Airport is the primary airport serving the city. From the airport, you can reach the conference venue and hotel through various transportation options, including taxis and ride-sharing services.
Traveling Around Town
CARTA – Public Transit: CARTA is the Charleston Regional Transportation Authority and provides several ways to get around Charleston - including the Downtown Area Shuttle (DASH). The DASH service has three routes through downtown, with Route 213 stopping near the conference hotel. Learn more about CARTA.
Walking and Biking: Charleston is a great city to stretch your legs a bit. Take a stroll through the walkable in-town neighborhoods or go for a bike ride. Whether on two feet or two wheels, Charleston has plenty of green space to feed your love of the outdoors.
You can also travel around via Taxicabs and Rideshare services.
FOOD AND DRINK
Consider yourself a foodie?! Charleston may have what you are looking for! Charleston now boasts three Michelin-starred restaurants in the 2025 Michelin Guide South: Vern's, Wild Common, and Malagon.
Although the city has many food options, there are also a variety of restaurant options within a 20 minute walking distance, including:
1. Honeysuckle Rose ($$$): Fine dining restaurant offering five and eight course pre-fixe menus with wine pairings.
2. Estadio ($$): A modern Spanish restaurant and bar with Lowcountry Spanish Tapas.
3. South Street Cheesesteaks ($): You guessed it - cheesesteaks!
4. Xiao Bao Biscuit ($): Creative, multicultural Asian cooking and specialty cocktails in a trendy converted gas station.
THINGS TO DO IN CHARLESTON
We encourage you to get out and explore Charleston! 
Notable Highlights:
1. Walking Tours: Get out and see the city's alleyways and historic sites with a local guide (such as the Heyward-Washington House).
2. Horse Drawn Carriage: Enjoy a guided tour aboard a horse-drawn carriage
3. Rainbow Row: A stretch of 13 pastel Georgian-style homes - with soft pinks, blues, yellows and greens lining the street!
4. Fort Sumter: Visit the site where the Civil War began.
5. The Battery and White Point Garden: A scenic promenade that curves along the waterfront - lined with grand historic mansions on one side and open views of Charleston Harbor on the other.
6. Waterfront Park: Set on the harbor, this green space offers open views of the water, shaded walking paths, and plenty of spots to sit and take a break.
7. Haunted Ghost Walk: Take a walking tour through Charleston's haunted side - hear ghost stories tied to real history and stop at historic pubs for drinks!
8. City Market: Stretched across several blocks, this is a series of open-air sheds that offer a great place to get a feel for the local culture while picking up a few unique souvenirs.
