Homeschooled applicants

For those who have jobs requiring "high school diploma/education or equivalent," do you have any rules or policies governing homeschooled applicants? Particularly from states that do not place requirements on home schooling?

I'm in Washington state, which has pretty strong requirements to complete home schooling, including curriculum, testing, etc. We have an applicant from a state that only requires the parent to notify the school that their child will not be attending. The applicant says they completed their final two years of high school at home, but cannot provide any official evidence of that.

    Thanks!
