Our keynote speakers for 2014 are:

Kurt Kraiger received his Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from The Ohio State University.  He is a Fellow of the Society of Industrial Organizational Psychology, chair of the Department of Psychology at Colorado State University, and Chief Strategy Officer for jobZology.


Dr. Ken Lahti has worked in the field of assessment and selection for over 15 years. In that time, he has advised hundreds of organizations and has held a variety of roles including consulting, applied research, solution design, product development, and leadership. As Vice President of Product Development & Innovation for SHL Talent Measurement Solutions at CEB, Dr. Lahti merges commercial strategy with scientific innovation and leads research and development of SHL’s industry-leading assessment products.


Kevin Murphy is a Consulting Expert with Lamorinda Consulting LLC and the Berkeley Research Group, serving as an expert witness in employment litigation and an Affiliate Professor in the Department of Psychology of Colorado State University.  He has served as President of Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology and Editor of Journal of Applied Psychology and Industrial and Organizational Psychology: Perspectives on Science and Practice.  He has published eleven books and over 170 papers and chapters, and his current research focuses on validation.

Dr. Fred Oswald is Professor and Chair of Psychology at Rice University. His published research addresses the reliability, validity and adverse impact of tests administered to applicants across organizational, education and military settings.  Dr. Oswald currently serves as Associate Editor of Journal of Management, Psychological Methods, and Research Synthesis Methods as well as eight editorial boards.


Dr. Eden King joined the faculty of the Industrial-Organizational Psychology program at George Mason University after earning her Ph.D. from Rice University in 2006. Dr. King has consulted on applied projects related to climate initiatives, selection systems, and diversity training programs, and she has worked as a trial consultant. She is currently an Associate Editor for the Journal of Management and the Journal of Business and Psychology and is on the editorial boards of the Academy of Management Journal and the Journal of Applied Psychology. Dr. King was honored to receive the State Council of Higher Education of Virginia's Rising Star Award in 2011 and is co-editing a book on Big Data at Work.
