From the Editor

Beverly Waldron

It is hard to believe that another year has come and almost gone. There is a theory that says "time flies when you are having fun," so if you are like me you must have had a "fun" filled year. My own pet theory is that time accelerates in geometric proportion to how much work there is to be done and the number of deadlines you have. The theory fits much better with the frantic existence I seem to have led this past year. But a new year and a new millenium are coming so there is a fresh start for all. Don't know about you, but I'm determined that it is going to be a better year!

I can't let this last issue of 1999 go by without expressing my very sincere thanks and appreciation to our associate editors (Mike Aamodt, Ilene Gast, Déonda Scott and Jeff Feuquay) for their hard work and commitment to each issue of the ACN. Thank you! Their contributions make the ACN. Thanks also to Marianne Ernesto for all her assistance and advice and for sometimes, just listening.

There are a number of interesting articles and some very good information in this issue of the ACN. Hope you enjoy it and find it useful.

Wishing you a wonderful holiday season and all the best for the coming year! And, as always, I look forward to hearing from you in the near future.

A special note to the gentleman "constructing" an article and to the one wearing his watch on the wrong wrist -- I look forward to hearing from you very soon!
